FAQs

Q: What is the difference between bikini, partial brazilian, and brazilian?
A: For a bikini, we’ll clean up just the sides and top of your bikini line, anything that would show while wearing modest bathing suit. For a Partial Brazilian, we clean the sides and top, as we do with the bikini, but the thing that makes it different is that we will also do the back. In essence we will remove any hair that might peak out if you are wearing a thong.
Q: What is vajazzling?
A: Vajazzling, or crystaling is a new process made very popular and very public largely by actress Jenifer Love Hewitt. We can adorn your most intimate of spots with small Swarovski Crystals with an adhesive back. You can choose from a selection of designs that are pre arranged, or if you’d rather we can sparkle you up with someone’s initial, or a heart, or something special of your choosing. The adhesive is safe for all skin types and all body parts and can last up to one week if you’re careful. Come in to take a look at the different styles .
Q: I am prone to ingrowns, what can I do to help this?
A: There are a few basic things you can do to reduce and get rid of ingrown hairs. First and foremost, exfoliate! Using sea salt scrub, exfoliating cloth or brush, or sugar scrub two to three times per week you’ll keep dead skin cells from trapping new hair growth under your skin. The second step is to keep your skin healthy and moisturized.
Q: Will it hurt as much as waxing?
A: Most people find that body sugaring hurts less than waxing, but it all depends on your own pain tolerance. You can take any pain pill with caffeine eg asprin. Avoid drinking coffee before your appointment.
Q: How long should I wait between appointments?
A: For most services we recommend coming in every four to six weeks in order to have as much hair as possible growing at the same time. Timing may vary depending on your growth cycle and how long you’ve been sugaring. Ask your technician for their recommendation on your next visit.
Q: My skin was bumpy and itchy after my appointment, is this normal?
A: Slight irritation is completely normal and should disappear within 24 hours. If you experience hives you can try taking an antihistamine. You can also apply a cold compress to the irritated area or use a soothing cream to alleviate the redness.
Q: What do I need to know before I Sugar?
A: For best results please do not apply ANY creams/lotions (including No Scream Cream) or deodorants (if sugaring underarms) the day of your appointment. Avoid direct heat such as hot tubs or sun tanning the day of or the day after.

The best time to wax is 4 days after your menstrual cycle. It is a HUGE pain saver!! A woman’s pain tolerance is much lower right before her cycle.

Do not work out after sugaring. Excessive perspiration can also harbor bacteria that can cause skin breakouts because of the open pores from the hair removal service.

The freshly treated area should not be touched as the dirt and oils from our hands can cause irritation. ESPECIALLY ON THE FACE!
Q: How long will my skin be smooth after I wax?
Everyone is different, but you can expect to be smooth for approx. 2 weeks before seeing any re-growth. Appointments are typically every 3-6 weeks.
Q: Does tanning effect waxing?
Yes! Please wait a couple of days in between your tanning and waxing appointments. Your skin is very sensitive after sun exposure and we cannot wax anyone that has been exposed to a lot of sun. Waxing directly after tanning could lift the skin. Ouch!!! PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO INFORM YOUR ESTHETICIAN ABOUT YOUR SUN EXPOSURE.
